You didn’t read it wrong. The title of this photo is Yak Pond. This big pond in the middle of a fenced pasture is home to a herd of domestic yaks. In the spring, darling, clumsy babies frolic around the fringes of the water while their parents lounge in the lush grass. This scene appeared one Wednesday evening as I journeyed to my weekly Bible study small-group. A cell phone call prompted me to pull over; and while I conversed on the side of the road with one of my brothers, this sunset unfolded before my eyes. I had to cut the conversation short to get out of the car with my camera and take a series of photos. The cloud patterns were so striking and the color variations so different – what a blessing! Had I not had the phone call, I would have missed the opportunity, for I wouldn’t have been in that place at that time. Had I not had my camera in the car, which I usually did NOT – I would have missed “documenting” it – clearly one of those “divine appointments.”
Let Him be your stronghold and your refuge. He is waiting.
